Great news from camp Romania :P

From a news report/video (I don’t know if someone capped the video)
- Sandra Izbasa is back to training and will not retire.
- Diana Bulimar has a new dvault and will go for AA (she used to have a fty, which made her a weak aa-er)
- Larisa Iordache was seen doing a shaposh 1/2 on UB (finalyyyy omg she had the normal shaposh for like 1000 years I knew she could add a half turn)
- The 20 juniors that were training with the senior team this month will all stay and train with B&B! Originally they were supposed to pick 10 girls for the team, but I am glad they were able to take them all! I don’t know all 20 but I know Blendea, Jurca, Iridon and Peng are there!! The gym will be so full haha!

The Unive gym gala was so much fun!

So yesterday I went to Almere for the Unive gymgala, I had won Vip tickets for this show and I was very excited because Zonderland, Ponor, Izbasa and many more were going to perform there.

Before the show my friend and I were allowed into the viproom, there were free food & drink (woohoo hahaha) and Celine van Gerner was there. Some of the other vips were male gymnasts from the dutch junior national team (which wasn’t too bad haha, they were cute, dutch men gymnasts look good ahahaha) and other people who had won vip tickets.

So the show started (thank god we got super comfortable seats with our tickets haha) and the theme was london 2012. They presented all the Olympic guests (Izbasa, Ponor, van Gerner, Ushakov, Lenders (both trampoline) and the Belarussian rythmic group) and then Zonderland came out on a bike with his medal and he cycled around the floor (it was hilarious)

Then the show really began. There were lots of cool acts, dancers, acrobatic duos and groups, crazy ethiopian who tumbled through hoops and climed poles, it was insane.
‘Duo Viro’ from Hungary had a really cool act in the silk curtains (no they’re not curtains but idk what they’re called)

And Catalina on beam was just amazing. She did the omelianchik, which is my favorite skill on beam, and it was just a great performance.

Celine van Gerner & Wyomi Masela had a really cute act together, to show that they’re not ‘enemies’ after all the drama about who would go to the Olympics.
Yuri van Gelder did rings and Jeffrey Wammes floor.
Another cool act was the DDF crew who did ropeskipping and were crazy good.
Erika Lemay from Canada had a beautiful act with a hoop, she is so good, look her up on youtube.

& then it was time for Sandra Izbasa & Epke Zonderland.

Izbasa performed on floor and I am soooooo happy I got to see her routine! It is so amazing. She did a super high triple, a 1.5 to full and a 2.5 twist (ahh I so hope she doesn’t retire)

Then Epke went on highbar and he did a cassina to kolman and stuck his double twisting double layout and everyone went crazy!!

After the amazing show all the artists were on the floor and you could go to them and ask for autographs and pictures. Almost everyone went to Epke & Celine so I searched for Izbasa and Ponor, who were leaving very fast. I got both their autographs and a picture with Ponor!! I’m so happy cause they were leaving and barely anyone saw them but I didddd!

Looook how many people on the hunt for autographs haha! I didn’t get Epke’s autograph because there were so many people, especially little kids around him and it was almost impossible to get through haha (& I recently found out little 11 year old me already got his autograph in 2005, when I found an old gymnastics shirt from when I went to see dutch nationals haha, I didn’t even know I had that)

Anyways it was a great show and I had so much fun!

Guess who got vip tickets to the Dutch unive gym gala tonight?!!!! I’m so excited! Ponor, Izbasa, Zonderland, van Gerner and many more will be there!
